April 2: Schnecksville Elementary students visit high school botany greenhouse for STEM collaborative Lesson from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. PHS Botany students are creating hydroponics systems for Schnecksville fifth graders to explore via stations. Station 1. Seed Design Challenge: Fifth graders will be designing water dispersed seed "vessel" and have a seed race to see which team's seed will cross the finish line the fastest. Station 2. Mini Recycled Greenhouses: Botany students will help fifth graders build recycled "mini" greenhouse and plant seeds in six compartments. Station 3. Greenhouse Tour: Botany students will give greenhouse tour and will describe the hydroponics and aquaponics systems they have running. Transplanted seedlings and mini greenhouses will go back to Schnecksville to grow and maintain until they plant them in their courtyard in May for their Earth Day celebration.

April 3-6 No school. Spring holiday.

April 8-11: High school spring musical, "Into the Woods,: 7:30 p.m.

April 12: Musical, "Into the Woods, 3 p.m.

April 9: Community Advisory Council in high school library classroom, 6:15 p.m. Peer Assisted Learning Support and LCCC Transitions Program for students with special needs who are readying to enter the world of work will be discussed. Parkland community members are welcome to attend.

April 18: Grassroots Environmental Organization Club (GEO) Electronics Recycling Drive at FreeCycle Facility, 795 Roble Road, Allentown.
