Edward T. Eckroth, 79, of Whitehall Township, died Feb. 22, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Margaret V. (Ubelacker) Eckroth for 53 years.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Edward L. and Mildred R. (Dietrich) Eckroth.

He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran.

He was an engineer until he retired from the former Bell Labs, Lehigh Valley.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Ruth and Joan; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine.
