Samantha N. Griss, 47, of Emmaus, died March 18, 2015, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Michael Nowak. Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of Theodore and Josephine Griggs of Bethlehem.

She lived in northern New Jersey and received a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University before moving to Bethlehem.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Roland and Liam Nowak of Emmaus; parents; sisters, Meredith of Milford, N.J., and Nicole of Paris, France.
