Maria Stroumbakis

Maria Stroumbakis, 82, of Macungie, died March 21, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Constantine N. Stroumbakis for 60 years. Born in Tholopatamion, Chios, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Argyro (Papamichalakis) Pappas.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Bethlehem.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Argyro S. and her husband, deacon James M. Elliker, of Fleetwood, and Ploumi S. and her husband Pantelis Levidis, of Macungie; a son, Nicholas C. and his wife Elon, of Reading; a sister, Efrosyni Stroubakis, of San Diego, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Stephen and his wife Amy, Maria and her husband Thomas, Alexander, Christine, Elyse, Despina, Maria, Sophia, Constantine, Alexandra and Demetrios; and four great-grandchildren, Stephen, Luke, Emily and James.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Eleni Levidis.

Services will be held 11 a.m. March 26 in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem. A viewing will be held 10 to 11a.m. in the cathedral. There will be an additional viewing 7 to 9 p.m. March 25 with a Trisagion service 8 p.m., both in the John F. Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center St., Bethlehem.

Contributions may be made to the cathedral.
