Betty L. Kern, 85, of Salisbury Township died March 18, 2015, in her home. She was the wife of the late Frank A. Kern, Jr, who died in 1998. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Shoemaker) Latshaw.

She worked for Laidlaw as a school bus driver for small children in the Allentown School District for 21 years, retiring in June, 2006.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Sikler of Salisbury Township, stepson, Frank Kern, III, of Lexington, Mass.; grandchildren, Linda Douglas and fiance Tyrone of Bethlehem, Brian Sikler and fiancee Rachel of Allentown, Jessica O'Connar of Emmaus; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Sikler, brother, Charles Latshaw and grandson, Michael Sikler.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. The K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
