Lehigh Township Column

Come out and support the upcoming Lehigh Township Historical Society spring basket social at the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company in Cherryville Sunday, March 29.

Doors open at 1 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door.

This will be the historical society's 12th annual basket social and, as in the past, there will be plenty of baskets and gift cards.

Drawings begin at 4 p.m.

Winners will be notified if not present.

Featured on a special value table this year will be a unique, colorful handmade quilt, which dates back to the 1930s and is hand-sewn with needle and thread.

The kitchen will be open in the afternoon.

Proceeds benefit maintenance of the historical society and the St. Paul's Schoolhouse.

If anyone would like to donate cash, gift cards or an item, contact a member of the historical society or bring the item to the fire company by 11 a.m. the day of the event.

If you desire any information or have donations for the society, call the historical society at 610-440-0151 and leave a message.
