Johanna Marie (Sekoch) Hoppes, 97, of Whitehall, died Jan. 18, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg.

Born in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Foltinovic) Sekoch.

She was a 1936 graduate of Whitehall High School.

She worked at several local five-and-dimes. She then was a saleslady in several departments at Sears, Roebuck & Company until she retired after 32 years.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fullerton.

She is survived by a son, Donald, with whom she shared a home; a grandson, Michael; nephews; and nieces.

She was predeceased by a sister, Rose; two brothers, Joseph and John; a son, Robert Hoppes; and a grandson, Charles Hoppes.

Contributions may be made to the church, Meals on Wheels, or a charity of choice.
