The Friends of Northampton Area Public Library group will be holding its annual Vera Bradley bingo to benefit the library on Sunday, April 12 at the Northampton Memorial Community Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Doors open at 11 a.m., and bingo starts at 1 p.m.

A special highlight this year is the addition of a few Pampered Chef prizes. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction items and a bake sale.

The Northampton Area Food Bank will hold its yearly general meeting Tuesday, March 24 in the fellowship hall of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave.

Dinner will be served 6-7 p.m.; the business meeting will follow.

The menu includes hot dogs, turkey barbecue and drinks. Covered side dishes and desserts are appreciated.

The board encourages all volunteers, clients, businesses and parishioners of local churches to attend this meeting and slide presentation.
