Wolverines' Kinek scores against Bellarmine
Hanna Brosky has had a solid inaugural winter season for the Lehigh University track and field team. In the Mountain Hawks' indoor season, the freshman had top times of 1:00.23 in the 400 meters, 1:16.63 in the 500, and 2:21.78 in the 800.
Luini Ortiz, a sophomore at Northampton Community College, returns for his second season on the baseball squad. As a freshman, the first baseman/outfielder batted .329 with 19 runs and 19 RBIs. Of batters with more than 30 at-bats in 2014, Ortiz had the third-highest batting average.
Bloomsburg junior Aida Diop is 2-4 on the tennis courts in the 2014-15 season. Both of her victories this season have come in tournament play. Diop was named to the PSAC East All-Conference Singles Team a season ago.
McDaniel College senior pitcher David Pisauro appeared in 13 games in 2014, recording a 2-5 record with a 7.44 ERA. In 32.2 innings pitched, he struck out 20 batters and walked 16. He also recorded one save. Pisauro and the Green Terror were scheduled to open their season on March 2, but their first three games have been cancelled.
Amber Csrenko, a distance runner for Bloomsburg, was a PSAC-qualifier for the 4x800 meter relay event in the 2014-15 indoor track and field season. Her top times in the indoor season are as follows: 800 (2:30.67), 1000 (3:25.53) and mile (5:42.45).
Bloomsburg distance runner Melanie Hanover set personal best outdoor times in the 1500m (5:25.81), 3000 (11:16.99) and 5000 (19:38.46) as a freshman.
Michigan junior Dan Kinek, a midfielder for the Wolverines lacrosse team, has appeared in all six of the team's games thus far in 2015. He recorded one goal against Bellarmine in early February.
Nate Kraemer, a freshman on the Virginia Military Institute's lacrosse team, has appeared in five games (one start). He has won 18 faceoffs for the Keydets with a .409 percentage.
Fairleigh Dickinson freshman Jason Fatzinger is batting .200 for the season, starting in two of the Knights' six games.
Northampton Community College freshman Jakob Pacheco is entering his first season with the Spartans' baseball team.
