M. Dale Olcott
M. Dale Olcott, 79, of Macungie, died March 5, 2015, at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. He was the husband of Judith K. (Kropp) Olcott. Born in Norwalk, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lewis T. and Edna (Wolfe) Olcott.
He graduated from Norwalk High School where he was a four letter varsity athlete in football, basketball, baseball and track. In his senior year he was named to the All State High School Football Team as a receiver. He received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Kent State University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
He served in the U.S. Army and was promoted to captain prior to being honorably discharged.
He was employed by the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) where he retired in 1998 after 41 years as the director of data processing and systems analysis.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Trexlertown and an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Washingtonville, N.Y. for many years.
He was the proud coach of his son's Little League baseball teams in Cherry Hill, N.J.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Rick and his wife, Bojana Korbar, of Zagreb, Croatia; Doug and his wife, Ivanka Dzajkic, of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; daughter, Cyndi Lyn and her husband Kevin O'Brien, of Collegeville; brother, Dean, of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Evelyn Perkins, of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Thomas, Kaja, Jack, Kelly, Liam, Katja and Colleen.

Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
