"Buns and Guns," an innovative exercise program held at the Northampton Recreation Center is faring so well that it is expanding, council was advised at its Feb. 19 meeting.

Councilman Anthony Lopsonzski Jr., building, land and recreation chairman, said recreation center Director Jason Kremus reports the new exercise project has "been going over extremely well," so much so that as soon as the basketball season is over, the exercise program will move from the Deets Goodman Room to a portion of the gymnasium.

"The program is also being expanded to include Sundays," Lopsonzski said.

Continuing with new projects and fundraisers, the recreation center will sponsor its first golf tournament July 19, at the Whitetail Golf Course. Further information is available at the recreation center.
