Albert P. Birosik, 86, of Northampton, died Feb. 21, 2015, at home.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Pesta) Birosik.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He worked at the former Dragon Cement and Martin Marietta. He retired in 1995 as a plant manager at Alliance Sand Company, Palmerton.

He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4714. He was a member of the Northampton Fire Company, and the Lappawinzo Game Protective Association.

He is survived by a son, Kevin C. and his wife Shannon, with whom he resided; three grandchildren, Jaryd, Dane and Camryn; and a brother, Alfred of Northampton.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, John and William; and two sisters, Anna and Cecilia.
