Mollie J. Rex, 89, of Whitehall, formerly of Kernsville Road, Orefield, died Feb. 12, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late David P. Rex.

Born Nov. 5, 1925, in Mechanicsville, North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Erwin J. and Emma T. (Resh) Steckel.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

She served as a former trustee and vice president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Tri-Clover Fire Co., Orefield.

Her survivors includer daughters Barbara A. Grim and her husband, Larry, and Brenda D. Eisenhard, all of Orefield, Bonnie M. Rex of Whitehall; daughters-in-law Nanette M. Rex of North Catasauqua and Kathleen M. Rex of Fogelsville; sister Eleanor J. Zellner of Whitehall; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by sons, Bruce D. and Barry R.; siblings Beatrice Oswald and Roy H. Steckel Sr., and a grandson, Jeremy D. Grim.
