Louis A. DiGiacomo

Louis A. DiGiacomo, 82, of Macungie, died Feb. 16, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center. He was the husband of Frances (Sterzen) DiGiacomo, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Summit Hill, he was the son of the late Thomas and Erma Ferrett DiGiacomo.

A graduate of Summit Hill High School in 1950, he received his Bachelor of Science in education at East Stroudsburg University in 1958.

He served as a sergeant in the first infantry division in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was the first human resource manager at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. Then later, along with his brother, Richard, co-owned T.E. Dee, Inc. for 23 years, retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Lisa and her husband Mark Lechmanik, Cyndi and her husband John Tunitis, and Diane and her husband Mike Kasaczun; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lori; brothers, Joseph and Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 19 at St. Ann Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus, where family and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
