Studenbt profile: Sarah Bauch, LV Charter HS for the Arts
Grade: 12
Family members: My wonderful mother and stepdad, Nancy and Brian Cocot
Favorite subject: My favorite academic subject is English, because of how my teacher really brings whatever we're doing to life. He really knows how to push our writing to be the best it can be. My favorite artistic subject is advanced acting because of how it has immensely helped me grow as an actor and as a person.
Activities: Going to rehearsals after school and being an active member of my school's Student Council
Next steps: Going to college to gain the knowledge and experience I need to someday become a professional stage manager. My top school is Penn State.
Career goals: To hopefully someday become a professional stage manager for Broadway shows, Broadway tours or for theaters all around the U.S.
Heroes: My incredible mother for being the most strong and amazing woman I have ever known. My theater teachers are also my heroes because of the endless passion and love they have for their art form, and their ceaseless dedication to their students and their department.
Hobbies: Stage managing, taking part in Student Council, playing with my dog, Auggie, and helping my school or community in any way I can.
Current job(s): Stage managing all three of my school's Main Stage productions and assistant teaching my school's fundamentals of acting class
Volunteer/community work: Over the summer I worked at my school's summer arts camp as an assistant teacher for the Broadway and acting portions, as well as helping out in my school's public relations department. Last year, with Student Council, I participated in the Special Olympics and absolutely can't wait to do it again this year!
Likes: My likes include theater, coffee, scarves, Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, the Jonas Brothers and giving back to my school in any way I can and Red Carpet award shows.
Dislikes: Sunday nights, unmotivated people and rap
Greatest accomplishment (so far): Becoming a set production assistant and assistant set designer for my teacher's comedy series, "Goody, Goody." Another thing I consider to be an accomplishment is being asked to be a member of the National Student Leadership Conference, as well as stage managing two overlapping productions.
Advice for peers: Never give up on yourself. You're capable of so much good, you just have to believe in yourself. The first step to loving others is loving yourself.
