Penn State Extension is offering a class on "Backyard Chickens" 6-9 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Extension office.

The workshop includes a basic overview of how to properly care for chickens.

Workshop participants will discuss different breeds and the specifics of raising poultry for production of eggs or meat.

Live chickens will be available to help presenters demonstrate proper handling techniques and to showcase different breeds.
