Joseph Francis "Duke" Waldron, 81, of Macungie, died Feb. 1, 2015, at Le-high Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Lois (Krommes) Waldron. They were married for 49 years. Born in Chester, he was a son of the late Dominick and Anna (Sullivan) Waldron.

He was a graduate of St. James High School, Chester and Drexel University. He was a professional engineer, working at Westinghouse Electric, General Electric and Carter Wallace.

He was a pioneer resident at the Wild Cherry Knoll neighborhood in Macungie.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Kim and her husband Dale Walck; "fur child" Lexi; brothers, John and James; grandchildren, Andre, Devon and Alison Walck. He was predeceased by siblings, Dominick Jr., Anna Masten, Rose Boyle, Winifred Prendergast and Andrew.
