Girls and boys ages 9 to 14 recently participated in the 2015 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship, St. Joseph the Worker's Council No. 10921, at St. Joseph the Worker School, Orefield.

Twelve winners, one boy and one girl in each age group, were awarded basketballs and certificates at the Jan. 9 event.

They have the opportunity to represent the St. Joseph the Worker Knights of Columbus Council at the Feb. 6 District Free Throw event at St. Thomas More. The 2015 winners are:

Boys

Age 14: Justin Pasquale;

Age 13: John Angelella;

Age 12: Mason Leonard;

Age 11: Matthew Hetten;

Age 10: Zach Rodgers; and

Age 9: Steven Sukley.

Girls

Age 14: Morgan Dietz;

Age 13: Elizabeth Szmigiel;

Age 12: Julia Vargo;

Age 11: Miranda Gulycz;

Age 10: Sydney Kofroth; and

Age 9: Emily Billig.
