Ruth H. Speary, 80, of Emmaus, died Jan. 27, 2015, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Jack R. Speary. Born in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late W. Raymond and Helen M. (Faus) Hess.

She worked as a medical technologist for the former Allentown Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital, retiring in 1991.

She was an active member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus, serving as treasurer for many years, captain of the altar guild and was a communion assistant.

She is survived by a sister, Janet Lee, of Ontario, Canada; nephews. She was predeceased by sons, Mark W. and Greg D.
