Leona K. Knerr, 98, of Alburtis, died Feb. 1, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles H.F. 'Beechy' Knerr, who died in 1990. Born in Alburtis, she was a daughter of the late Calvin K. and Mary H. (Hilbert) Schoch.
She was a machine operator in the garment industry and provided devoted care for her mother in her later years.
She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, where she was president of its Ladies Guild for many years and also was a member of the Inreach Committee.
She was a member of the first group of Alburtis Campfire Girls in 1927 and received the National Campfire Shutta Leadership Award in 1944. She also served as a den mother in Alburtis Cub Scouts.
She is survived by a son, Charles C. and his wife, Carol E. (Stoudt), of Alburtis; grandchildren, Charles P. and his wife, Kathryn M. (Hallinan) and Jan S. and her husband Josh C. Reinhart; great-granddaughter, Grace Athena. She was predeceased by five siblings.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 4 in Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis. A calling hour will begin 10 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Home, Breinigsville.
