Jean C. Schmick, 88, of Macungie, died Jan. 31, 2015, in Mosser Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late George W. Schmick, who died in 1998. Born in Alburtis, she was a daughter of the late Brighton B. and Katie M. (Barto) Weaver.

She was an active member of Zion Lehigh Evangelical Lutheran Church, Alburtis, where she was a member of the choir and its Lydia Ladies Prayer Group. She was also a member of Secret Pals, was an Alburtis Camp Fire Girl and leader and a den mother in Scouting.

She enjoyed the Phillies, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Carey T.; daughters, Jane L. and her husband Larry K. Kuhns and Gail E. and her husband Lin L. Gehris; sister, Marjorie E. Weaver, all of Macungie; grandchildren, Julie Gehris, Elizabeth and her husband Dwight Lichtenwalner and Andrew; five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Mildred V. Snyder and Mae M. and Dorothy W. Weaver.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 5, in Zion Lehigh Evangelical Church, 8269 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis. A calling hour will begin 10 a.m. in the church.
