Joyce "Joy" A. Markle, 86, of Phillipsburg, N.J., and formerly of Coplay, died Jan. 21, 2015, in St. Luke's Hospital-Warren campus. She was the wife of the late Harold C. Markle Jr.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Roy W. and Elizabeth (Brader) Huber.

She was a switchboard operator for many years.

She was a member of the Phillipsburg Alliance Church, Phillipsburg, N.J.

She was active formerly with the Coplay Crime Watch.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah "Sam" Markle of Phillipsburg, N.J., Pamela A. and her husband Robert Amelio Jr. of Kutztown, and Barbara Jean and her husband Edward Tomcics of Whitehall; a son, James S. and his wife Kathy of Randolph, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
