Grundsau Lodsch Nu. 16 Am Jahden will be having its annual Groundhog Day celebration 7 a.m. Feb. 2 at Wehr's Dam, South Whitehall.

The program will consist of pledging the flag, singing songs and waiting for the arrival of groundhogs Jahde and grandson Lee down the Jordan Creek, either on a sled or a raft depending on ice or flowing water.

Upon the groundhogs' arrival, there will be a prediction of either an early spring or six more weeks of winter.

Translation of the Pa. Dutch will be given so all can understand what is happening.
