Richard P. Clancy, 81, of Whitehall, died Jan. 12, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son the late Edward and Genevieve Clancy.
He served the country during the Korean War.
He retired from the N.Y.P.D. after 20 years of service. He was a security officer at Saucon Valley Country Club for 15 years.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Whitehall.
He was a member of the Coplay Legion Post 0426.
He is survived by a son, Richard P. Jr. and his wife Amy of Northampton; two granddaughters, Amy and Katelyn Clancy; and a brother, Edward and his wife Carol Clancey of Catasauqua.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Hyde.
