Carl Schmall, 79, of Coplay, died Jan. 10, 2015, in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Taniser) Schmall for 58 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Anna (Pontician) Schmall.

He was a 1953 graduate of Coplay High School.

He was a sales representative for several Lehigh Valley industrial distributors.

He was a board of governor emiritus for the American Club of Coplay and a former member of the Coplay Lions Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Carl S. and his wife Michele of Whitehall, Jeffrey and his wife Kim and Alan and his wife Christine, all of Northampton, Karen Peters, at home; Debra and her husband Dale Knecht of Northampton and Charles and his wife Michelle of Northampton; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Dennis Schmall; and two sisters, Judy Ketterer and Sandra Schrampf.

There will be a viewing from 9-11 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m., both Jan. 15 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037.

Contributions may be made to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox church, c/o the funeral home.
