Sandra Lee Dorney, 75, of Cetronia, died Jan. 14, 2015, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Cetronia, she was the daughter of the late Franklin T. and Florence I. (Shellhammer) Dorney.

She was the great-great-granddaughter of Solomon Dorney, the founder of Dorney Park, and actually lived and worked in the park.

She was a 1957 graduate of Parkland High School where she was a member of the band and manager of the girls basketball team.

She was employed as an administrative assistant in the Lehigh County Executive Office for 15 years, retiring in 2013. Prior to that, she was an executive secretary at NationsCredit, formerly Chrysler First Financial Services, Finance America Corp. and GAC Finance.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Cedar Union Church, (Cetronia) Allentown, where she formerly served on the consistory.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling and attending family holiday functions and family reunions. She was an avid Phillies fan.

She is survived by cousins and their spouses. She was predeceased by sisters, Irene E.P. Dorney and Jane Ann Dorney.
