Bessie B. Peters, 93, of Salisbury Township, Allentown, died Jan. 12, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Peters who died in 2007. Born in Walnutport, she was the daughter of the late Robbie C. and Martha S. (Reed) Best.

She enjoyed nature and delighted in feeding the birds, rabbits and chipmunks. She could always be found working in her yard and flower gardens. She loved animals and enjoyed cuddling with her daughter's dogs and cats.

Her hobbies included shopping, flea markets, reading, cooking and sewing.

As a young girl she worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Paris Neckware, Walnutport.

She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda K., of Allentown; brother, Lester L. Best, of Walnutport; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
