Edward J. Danko, 91, of North Catasauqua, died Jan. 3, 2015, at his residence. He was the husband of Jean R. (Walker) Danko for 68 years.

Born in North Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Stephen and Helen (Procak) Danko.

He was a 1941 graduate of Whitehall High School. He was a World War II Veteran, and was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge as a member of the 42 Rainbow Division.

He was the vice president and general manager of Utilities Service Company, a subsidiary of Lehigh Structural Steel, where he worked for more than 50 years.

He was a member of St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church.

He was a member of St. John Fisher's Young at Heart and the Catasauqua American Legion, Post 215.
