Homer D. Gehman, 89, of Emmaus, died Dec. 31, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Lorraine M. (Schmeltzle) Gehman who died Dec. 29, 2014. The couple were happily married for 68 years. Born in Macungie, he was one of 12 children born to the late Paul C. and Anna M. (Weaver) Gehman.
He was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Emmaus.
He was an Army veteran serving during World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Good Conduct and European Service Medal with five Bronze Stars.
He is survived by sons, David and his wife Beverly, Randy and his wife Judy; daughters, Karen and her husband Richard Rushatz, Sharon and her husband Gary Fritch and Kathy and her husband Stephen Sabo; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Annetta Stengle.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
