Donald L. Dries, 87, of Allentown, died Jan. 7, 2015, in his residence. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Siegfried) Dries. Born in Corning, he was the son of the late Daniel H. and Carrie V. (Schafer) Dries.

He worked for the First National Bank of Allentown and later for Meridian Bank, retiring in 1987 as manager of the Macungie branch.

He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He was a member and past president of the American Institute of Banking, member of the Emmaus JC's, member and past president of the Emmaus Rotary Club, served with the Lower Macungie Fire Police, life member of New Temple Lodge #720 F&AM, member of Consistory Valley of Allentown and Macungie VFW.

He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Michael, of Allentown and Brian L. and his wife Denise, of Allentown; daughter, Peggy and her husband Earl Heminitz, of Zionsville; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
