Faculty and students at Northwestern Elementary honored men and women of the U.S. military Nov. 11, 2014. The event was organized by gym teacher Bonnie Millward.
Fourth grade students sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "America the Beautiful," accompanied by music teacher Shawn Fies on piano, in the rotunda of the school surrounded by the names of 1,167 veterans placed on stars and hung in the rotunda.
