'No dogs' signs go up

"No trespassing" and "no dogs" signs have gone up at the retention pond on Walker Drive at the Quarry Hills residential development.

Northampton Borough Manager Gene Zarayko recently informed council the public works department Dec. 29 installed the signs. The signs were requested by residents in the area who have complained those who walk their dogs often neglect to clean up after them.

Council was also informed the new pump station on Smith Lane is up and running.

"As soon as the old pump station is removed, a stone base will be put in place so that in early spring it can be macadamed," Zarayko said.

Fencing will be installed around the entire pump station.
