John F. Seier, 99, of Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton, died Dec. 29, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Paul and Mary (Marth) Seier.

A 1933 graduate of Northampton High School, he was still active on the class reunion committee.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a stateside staff sargeant, serving as an airplane and engine mechanic.

He attended Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He worked in assembly for Mack Trucks Corporation, Allentown, for 34 years until he retired in 1975.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Anna (Csensits) Seier of Stiles; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by seven siblings.
