James W. Glendenmeyer, 88, of Northampton, died Dec. 28, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Anna E. (Orban) Glendenmeyer.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Roy and Matikda (Spaar) Glendenmeyer.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was in the South Pacific theater.
He was a shop steward, executive board officer and committee man for the United Auto Workers Local 677.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James D. and his wife Deborah of Northampton; two grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer and her husband Zach Maurer; a great-grand daughter, Elliana; a sister, Jean and her husband Edward Longtin; and a brother, Joseph Glendenmeyer of Whitehall.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanette Kratzer and Joan Haines.
