Althea L. "Mammy" Shankweiler, 97, of Vera Cruz Road South, Emmaus, died Dec. 28, 2014, in Lehigh Center. She was the wife of the late Earl H. Shankweiler, who died in December 2012. Born in Mertztown, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Rennie (Minnich) Weil.

She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd U.C.C., Alburtis and the Earl Keller Fan Club.

She is survived by a son, William L. and his wife Paulette, of Zionsville; daughters, Delores M. and her husband Paul Ruth, of Macungie and Gloria J. and her husband Marvin Holland, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Michael Ruth, Kathie McBride, Alan Ruth, Paul, Cindy Ruchinski and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth and Walter Weil and a grandson, Ronald.
