Elementary News

As we move further into the winter months, it will become more likely school will be delayed, canceled or dismissed early due to inclement weather.

Be sure all contact information is up to date to receive important messages regarding changes to the school day.

Kindergarten will follow a modified schedule on days school has a delay.

Morning kindergarten will attend 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Afternoon kindergarten will attend 1:40-3:25 p.m.

Northwestern

Elementary

In the event school is dismissed early and parents pick up children from school rather than have them take the bus, contact the main office before the scheduled dismissal time.

Park in the high school lot and walk to the door by the music room to enter the building and sign out the children.

The first Partner In Education meeting of the new year will take place 6 p.m. Jan. 8, in the cafeteria.

Librarian Sue Hanlon says OverDrive! OverDrive is an online source to download free books.

Students in grades kindergarten through 12th at NWL have accounts to start downloading and reading.

Their personal account is not connected to their school library account and allows students to check out an additional three books.

Hanlon will be reviewing and explaining how to use this resource to all students this year.

Weisenberg

Elementary

There will be a PTO meeting 9:15 a.m. Jan. 9 in room 145.

Family Fun Night and silent auction will take place 6-9 p.m. Jan. 31.

After last year's great success, this year's version promises some surprises and a lot of activities the entire family will enjoy.

Weisenberg is part of the Target Red Card program.

Enroll in Target's Take Charge of Education program and help Weisenberg raise money for their school activities.

They have earned a total of $947 toward field trips and assemblies.
