John J. Reichwein, III, 73, of Macungie, died Dec. 13, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Eileen A. (Holz) Reichwein. The couple celebrated 44 years of marriage June 27. Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late John J. Reichwein, Jr. and Laura (Smith) Reich and the stepson of Charles Reich.

He was a union representative for the IUE for about 15 years, retiring in 1996. Following his retirement, he worked ground maintenance at Wedgewood Golf Course for eight years.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Kathy A. and her companion, Dean Beahm; granddaughter, Arlie Hoffman; sister, Marianne Drabenstadt. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
