James S. Scheirer, 87, of North Catasauqua, died Dec. 18, 2014, in Westminster Village, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Joyce (Roberts) Schierer for 65 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary (Sneyd) Scheirer.

He was in the U.S. Navy aduring World War II and was in the Pacific Theater.

He owned and operated Scheirer's Radio and TV Service, North Catasauqua, for more than 40 years until he retired.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, and a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, Catasauqua.

He was a past president of the Catasauqua Club. He was a member of Catasauqua American Legion Post 215.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Nancy K. and her spouse Peg; and Cindy L. Reed; a son, James D. and his wife Tina; a daughter, Lisa A. and her husband Kelly Fisher; and four grandchildren.
