Danielle Fatzinger, of North Catasauqua, presented "Sacrifice, Submission, and Suicide: It's Bad to be Good in Geoffrey Chaucer's The Legends of Good Women" at the Undergraduate Conference in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at Moravian College on Dec. 6.
She is a junior majoring in English at McDaniel College, Westminster, Md.

Legath earns degree
Timothy Legath of Whitehall received the doctor of chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill., Dec. 11, 2014.
While completing the degree, Legath also served a one-year clinical internship with a special focus on integrative medicine. Before entering the doctor of chiropractic program at NUHS, Legath completed an undergraduate degree at Saint Vincent College.

Breiner graduates
Allison Nicole Breiner of Northampton graduated alongside 455 Millersville University of Pennsylvania students during the fall 2014 undergraduate commencement ceremony Dec. 14.
Breiner earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.

Fallstich to
volunteer
Robert Fallstich of Bath will join the Kutztown University Global Brigades chapter in traveling to Panama in January to aid impoverished South American communities which lack access to medical care.
The global brigades organization is the largest student-led international nonprofit. It serves to resolve global health and economic disparities by working with volunteers and the community to implement health, economic and education programs to meet a community's development goals.
The trip to Panama will take place Jan. 3-9. Volunteers will help at the medical clinic and in the community.
Their duties will include triaging patients; taking vitals; helping dentists, doctors and nurses care for patients; giving seminars to adults and children about health and wellness; and showing children how to brush their teeth.

Marzen inducted into honor society
AnnMarie Marzen of Whitehall was among the 114 University of Scranton students who were inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for freshmen, at a ceremony held recently on campus.
For membership, students must rank in the top 20 percent of the class, have a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the first semester of their freshman year, and be enrolled on a full-time basis.
Marzen is enrolled in the Panuska College of Professional Studies at the Jesuit university.

Yeaw performs in holiday concert
UMass Dartmouth student Donna Yeaw of Bath took part in a holiday concert Dec. 12 at the College of Visual and Performing Arts Recital Hall.
The university community was invited to the concert, which included performances by the University Chorus, Chamber Choir, Jazz Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble. Some songs performed by the groups include "O' Holy Night," "The Christmas Song" and "Noel."
