Wilmer H. Bachman, 86, of Walnutport, died Dec. 11, 2014, in his home.

He and his wife Lillian L. (Musselman) Bachman were married 66 years.

Born June 13, 1928, in Heidelberg Township, he was the son of the late Payson E. and Edna B. (Leaser) Bachman.

He was a crane operator at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 39 years before retiring in 1989.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington.

A former baseball coach and umpire for Lehigh Township Athletic Association, he was a life member of Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Fritzinger and her husband Dennis of Danielsville; son Wilmer B. and his wife Donna Jo of Walnutport; sisters Arlene Dombroski of Jim Thorpe, Lillian Bachman of Allentown, Doris Oertner of Slatington; brother Carl of Walnutport; grandchildren Dennis, Adam, Sherie, Alicia and Andrew; and great-grandchildren Ashlynn, Kristian, Dante, Nolan, Allison and Nathan.

He was predeceased by siblings Kermit, Harold, Donald, LeRoy and Verna.
