Robert R. Schmeltzle, 81, of Emmaus, died Dec. 11, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. He was the husband of the late Bertha G. (Reiss) Schmeltzle. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Carl and Frances Schmeltzle.

He worked for EFM and later was the co-owner of Carl Schmeltzle and Sons Used Auto Parts, retiring in 1998.

He was a life member of Citizens Fire Company #2 and a member of the Upper Milford Field and Stream.

He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survivied by a companion, Patsy Flexer, of Wescosville; daughter-in-laws, Maureen, of Emmaus and Kerry, of Emmaus; sister, Shirley and her husband Walter Koehler, of Center Valley; grandchildren, Sarah, Tyler and Cody; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons, Robert R., Jr. and Jeffrey S.; brother, Carl and sister, Frances Holland.
