Mary T. Underwood, 85, died Nov. 29, 2014, at her residence in Lower Macungie Township. She was the wife of William E. Underwood with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage Nov. 28. Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Pekarik) Kosalko.

She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She graduated from Lansford High School in 1947.

She served her country proudly as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy.

She worked for the former Emmaus Shirt Co. for a few years.

She enjoyed taking care of her husband, daughters and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Mary Edith Lewis, of San Antonio, Texas, Rose Mary and her husband Edward Fitzhenry, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jean Marie and her husband Brent Hagenbuch, of Dallas, Texas and Marilyn Sue and her husband Scott Wentling, of Galt, Calif.; brother, Thomas Kosalko, of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Tillie Labosky and Margaret and her husband Peter Bashago, both of Lansford; grandchildren, Kristina, Nicole, Amanda, Sarah-Rose, Hannah, Adam and Rachel; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
