Ann Louise Ritter, 76, of Vera Cruz, died Dec. 6, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of LaVerne R. Ritter, Sr. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Evelyn M. (Fegley) Schwartz Hamm.

She was a graduate of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for the former Allentown General, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Good Shepherd, the Lutheran Home at Topton, Miller Keystone Blood Center and was a member of AORN.

She was a member of Emmaus Moravian Church.

She was treasurer of the Upper Milford Field and Stream, member of the Vera Cruz Senior Citizens, worked the voting polls, was an ombudsman for Lehigh County and was an avid knitter.

She is survived by her husband; sons, David Kim and his wife Susan, of Lansdale and Donald Kim and his wife Dahlia, of Boca Raton, Fla.; daughter, Dr. Lisa Torp and her husband Dr. Joseph Esposito, of Lewisberry; grandchildren, Annika Torp, Kira Kim and Anya Kim; brother, Larry Schwartz and his wife Gweneth, of Ft. Collins, Colo; sisters, Judith and her husband Larry Paul, of Stillwater, Linda and her husband Chuck Miller, of Emmaus, Janet and her husband Ronald Lichtenwalner, of Emmaus and Cynthia and her husband John Graves, of Allentown.

A funeral service will be 5:30 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
