Allen L. Zimmerman, 86, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 2, 2014, in St. Luke's VNA Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of Vera (Nonnemacher) Zimmerman with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage in August. He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen (Korpics) Zimmerman. Born in Wapwallopen, he was the son of the late Russell and Ruth (Ogin) Zimmerman.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a gas service man for Ugite and Suburban Propane each for 13 years, retiring in 1990. He was also a manager for the former Montgomery Ward, Bethlehem, for three years and was in sales at Pep Boys, Bethlehem, for 10 years.

He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Paul A. Godshall, Allen D., David and his wife Marie Zimmerman, all of Bethlehem; sister, Elizabeth Ogan, of Freeland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gregory; brothers, Forrest and Heber.
