The Allen Township and East Allen Township municipal offices will be closed today and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

St. John's United Church of Christ, Howertown, 22 Atlas Road, will hold a community Christmas cantata 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.

Participating will be pastors, youth and choirs from St. John's UCC, Howertown; St. Peter's UC., Seemsville; Christ UCC, Little Moore; and Zion Stone UCC.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, will hold a penny party on Friday, Nov. 28, 5 p.m.

Doors open at 4 p.m., with food available to purchase.

There will be over 400 items that will appeal to young and old alike. In addition to grocery products, participants will see cleaning supplies, decorative items, toys and craft materials on the penny party trays.

A basket raffle will also be held. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the penny party.

The Governor Wolf Historical Society will hold its 34th annual Christmas house tour of historic homes and landmarks on Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Tickets are on sale Nov. 17 at Bath Drug, S. Seem Antiques and Artisans, Curt's Cyclery and Miller Supply Ace Hardware.

Tickets are available the day of the tour at the society campus.
