Wiseley scores six in first start

Matt Wiseley, a 6-6, 210-pound forward, is gearing up for his junior season on the West Chester basketball team. In his first start of the season in the Joe Retton Classic, Wiseley tallied six rebounds to go along with six assists against West Virginia Wesleyan. As a freshman, he appeared in 22 games to average 2.6 points and 3.2 boards per game. The Golden Rams are 3-1 on the season, while Wiseley is averaging 5.8 points, six rebounds and two assists per game.

Beth Wiseley is in the midst of her inaugural collegiate basketball season at York College. In the team's first four games, Wiseley played a total of 26 minutes. She has tallied two points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in the Spartans' 3-1 start.

DeSales University junior forward Sandra Gee enters her third season on the women's basketball team. As a sophomore, Gee averaged 4.8 points and 2.5 rebounds on the season. DeSales is 3-1 through the early portion of their campaign.

As a freestyle swimmer at the University of Delaware, junior Garrett Sharesky has a top-10 program time in three different events: fourth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:04.06), eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:13.90) and 10th in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:47.66). In the team's latest dual meet, Sharesky placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle and eighth in the 500-yard freestyle against Rider.

Bloomsburg University shooting guard Nate Feiertag logged 13 minutes in the Huskies' 79-56 win over Penn State-Hazelton in the season opener. In his first collegiate game, the freshman scored two points and grabbed one rebound. The Huskies are 4-0 to start the season after Saturday's 76-73 victory over Shippensburg.

As a swimmer at Lehigh Universtiy, freshman Patrick Champagne placed second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:43.43) and 1,000-yard freestyle (9:41.48) in the Mountain Hawks' most recent victory, a 191-107 win over Lafayette.

Freshman freestyle swimmer Cody Wimmer recently began his collegiate career at Seton Hall University. The Emmaus High School graduate placed 15th in the 400-yard individual medley during the recent Patriot Invitational at George Mason.

George Mason University sophomore Taylor Iobst swims the backstroke and IM events for the Patriots. In the team's most recent dual meet against La Salle, Iobst came in fifth in both the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke.

Messiah College freshman Jordan Frank placed fifth in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:26.16) in the Falcons' latest dual meet against Albright College on Saturday. Frank also finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:31.27.

Natalie Schaeffer, a freshman at the Marist College, is a freestyle swimmer for the Red Foxes.
