Roland J. Doncses, 86, formerly of Whitehall, died Nov. 9, 2014, in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Orella A. (Christman) Doncses.
Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Berner) Doncses.
He was in the U.S Army in World War II.
He was the proprietor of Roland Docses Mason Contractors for 41 years.
He was a past president and a lifetime member of the American Club of Coplay.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. and her husband Robert G. Kern Sr. of Lehighton, and Denise L. and her husband Ronald Reeser of Sykesville, Md.; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Alois Hammer of Nazareth; and a sister, Josephine Paul of Northampton.
He was predeceased by his long time companion, Evelyn MacHose; five brothers; and a sister.
