Summer dean?s list released

Basile gains

public relations experience

Wilkes University student Cara Basile of Whitehall is gaining firsthand experience as a member of the student-run public relations agency, Zebra Communications.

Basile is a junior communication studies major. She is the daughter of Mike Basile and Lisa Basile.

As members of Zebra Communications, students work with 12-15 client-partners, including not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, small businesses, campus initiatives and regional grant-funded projects, to create public relations campaigns of up to three months.

The award-winning agency gives students the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world experiences.

Basile is also a member of the Wilkes University chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and has had her academic achievements honored by placement on the dean?s list.
