At their Nov. 13 meeting, the Allen Township Supervisors approved the preliminary budget that maintains the 5-mill real estate tax rate.
Further details regarding the budget were not disclosed. The board will vote on it at its Dec. 11 meeting.
Township Manager Ilene Eckhart said she is making final changes to the budget.
The board authorized Eckhart to advertise the proposed budget in a local newspaper.
In other business, Eckhart recommended the approval of a list of individuals as call-in winter drivers in instances where additional township crews are needed.
A&A Limousine Service was also granted a six-month extension on its request regarding conditional use sought for property it owns.
A sketch/presentation on the agenda by David Jaindl was tabled due to Jaindl's absence.
The matter involves land owned by Jaindl north of Willowbrook Road. The request involves rezoning the property.
Jim Millot of Hanover Engineering, representing the township, said he does not know how many acres are involved and what the proposed use of the zoning change involves.
Board Chairman Paul Balliet announced the board will next meet in public session Nov. 25.
