Drug possession
Rodney Clarence Hogue, 26, of Lancaster and Michael Daniel Maldonado, 29, of Lancaster, were charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after they allegedly had 211 packages of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia when Hogue was stopped during a sobriety checkpoint at Route 222 southbound at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:10 a.m. Aug. 31. Hogue also allegedly was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance when stopped. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Theft
Reported by PMP Auto, 4593 Apple Lane, Lower Macungie Township, a Subaru engine was delivered by PMP Auto to a customer and a check for $825 was made payable to the business between Oct. 1 and 9. The check was deposited at a bank by PMP Auto and found to be cancelled.
DUI
Lauren Taylor McMakin, 29, of Macungie, allegedly was transported to Lehigh County Prison following a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Lower Macungie Road at Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:03 a.m. Nov. 10. McMakin allegedly showed signs of intoxication at the scene.
Retail theft
Reported at Kohl's department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 5:40 p.m. Nov. 11, a male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a straight brim baseball cap and white sneakers removed security devices from three Polaroid tablet computers, placed the computers in a shopping bag and left the store without paying. Nereida Pagan-Rosado, 58, of Allentown and Melissa Ramirez, 33, of Allentown, were charged with retail theft after they allegedly stole 10 miscellaneous items valued at $27.02 from Walmart, 1090 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:51 p.m. Nov. 1. Summary retail theft charges were filed.
Criminal mischief
Reported on hunting property east of Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime since Oct. 12 an unknown actor damaged a trail camera. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Found property
A black compact safe was found in the tree line just off the road in the 2700 block of Brunner Road, Upper Milford Township, 1 p.m. Nov. 9. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
